Impact and Completion of the Erasmus+ StaGe of Mind Project
The Society of Social Psychiatry P. Sakellaropoulos announces the completion of the project ERASMUS+ StaGe of Mind: Upskilling adults living with mental illness through multidisciplinary performing arts and presents the conclusions, the analytical results and also the overall impact of the project, in the relevant scientific article and its short version.
The duration of the Erasmus+ Stage of Mind project was two years and involved six organizations from the mental health and performing arts sectors from three countries (Spain, Greece and Ireland). In Greece, it was implemented, through its two-year course with the cooperation of specialized professionals in the artistic field (Angels of Joy) and the field of mental health (SSP P. Sakellaropoulos). The project was completed with the production and presentation of an original musical theater performance, with 52 total participants on behalf of the Society of Social Psychiatry P. Sakellaropoulos
A total of 97 participants from the 3 countries (Greece, Spain, Ireland) performed on the stage of the Stage of Mind project. The performances created enchanted the public in Athens, Valladolid and Dublin, both due to their authentic truth and their artistic value.
Through the StaGe of Mind Programme, the participants developed artistic skills, gained access to the artistic and cultural environment of musical theater and contributed decisively to the destigmatization of mental illness, public awareness, social integration and the promotion of the quality of life of people with psychosocial problems.
